Dominic Purcell Brings Heat To Arrow/Flash Spinoff
Dominic Purcell has signed on for the upcoming Arrow/Flash spinoff that was previously announced. He will be reprising his role of Mick Rory / Heatwave and will be joining his Prison Break brother Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart) along with Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer), Victor Garber (Martin Stein) and Caity Lotz (whose character of Sara Lance is deceased).
What we know about the series so far is that it's going to be a team-up style series and is expected to debut in mid-season next year. But the big questions left out there are: Why do you have only have of Firestorm as Robbie Amell has not signed on? Who will Caity Lotz play? Will the episodes be stand alone or all connected? And what will the show be called?
If I had to speculate – I'm thinking it may be called The Brave And The Bold or World's Finest since those are both established DC titles about team-ups. I can see where the show could be connected, but I think stand alone episodes would allow them to explore stories that would be tough to get to in the main series… like a Canary story when she was working for the league or a story with Captain Cold and Heatwave as the stars. And hey, what a great way to do a Sword of the Atom story…
