Get Your First Look At The First Teaser Poster For Marvel's Inhumans
Dwarfing the promotion for Wonder Woman, which releases next month, Marvel has unveiled a single poster for Inhumans, the TV show whose first two episodes will be released in theaters ahead of the show's debut on ABC in the Fall. Originally planned as a movie, plans changed when Kevin Feige usurped Marvel Chairman and Trump buddy Ike Perlmutter for control of Marvel's movie division and then canceled the film in the first shot of what would become a major war between Feige and Perlmutter. The Inhumans have been a big component of Marvel's plans to get people to like something besides the X-Men, since rival studio Fox owns the X-Men film rights.
As such, the show has been part of two of Ike Perlmutter's shadow wars, one against Feige the betrayer, and one against Fox, which has played out in a series of dueling casting announcements with Fox's live action X-Men show. The Inhumans even literally clashed with the X-Men in the aptly named super-mega-crossover event Inhumans vs. X-Men earlier this year, though Marvel's falling sales have led to a renewed push for the X-Men with a massive meat and potatoes relaunch for the comics franchise (though that relaunch was hampered slightly when the artist of one of its core titles, X-Men Gold, hid anti-Semitic messages in the artwork).
Inhumans debuts in IMAX theaters on September 1, and on ABC in the Fall. Check out the poster below:
