Hitman: Agent 47 Trailer Heralds The Assassin's Return To The Big Screen
When I heard they were taking another stab at a Hitman movie, my first reaction was, "Why?" The first one is serviceable enough for fans, and in the ensuing time, Hitman is no longer as prominent a gaming franchise as it once was. Hell, even when the first Hitman movie came out in 2007, Agent 47 had lost his edge.
Hitman: Absolution breathed some life back into the game series, but it was still a far cry from the prominence that the series once had in the early 2000s.
Well, this should at least be mildly interesting. Hitman: Agent 47 has its first trailer showing the titular assassin doing his thing, shooting lots of dudes and being all super-humany.

Thanks to JoBlo for the YouTube embedd.
I can't help but feel like the trailer somewhat missed the point of the appeal of Hitman. The series is at its best when it's mildly contained and about low-fi stealth. This was lots of explosions and big action.
It did feel like Agent 47 was more of a force than a character though. If it turns out that he isn't the lead protagonist and we are just watching his actions at a distance, rather than expected to empathise with him, I could get behind that.
Also, What is Zachary Quinto doing in here? It seems an odd choice for him.
