How Will Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. And Agent Carter Cross Over?
The other day I recalled a conversation I had with someone at Marvel at San Diego Comic Con. And then realised that I didn't actually write about it.
Shame on me.
Next year, Agent Carter will debut from Marvel, a TV series that will at as a sequel to Captain America: First Avenger and the Agent Carter One Shot, with Agent Carter running and operating within S.H.I.E.L.D in the mid-to-late nineteen forties. A period action adventure piece.
But, without time travel, one might consider there would be little crossover potential with the modern day set Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Au contraire.
I'm sure we can expect flashbacks. Histories being explained on Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Threats being put on hold in the past, then popping up in the present. Descendents and/or ascendants played by the same actor. But the one I'm supposed to look out for, is the time capsule trick.
Agent Carter puts a weapon in a drawer in 1945. In 2015, Agent Coulson takes out of the drawer, blows the dust off and fires it.
Stuff like that. Of course, the real trick will be if they can send something in the other direction.
