James Gunn Confirms a New Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Easter Egg
No one loves Easter eggs more than Guardians of the Galaxy director Jame Gunn. His movies have been packed with them, and there are some that we've apparently not found yet. There is a big one in each of the two Guardians movies, but Gunn is staying very tight-lipped about the various hidden secrets in his movies. Instead he wants us to do the work and find them for ourselves, and while we haven't found "the big one" yet, Gunn did take to Instagram to confirm yet another Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Easter egg has been found.
He later posted another behind-the-scenes picture showing how they got the image.
Gunn tells us not to "infer" anything such as Mantis being his daughter, but it isn't out the realm of possibility. We find new Easter eggs hidden in these movies every couple of months, and maybe someday we'll find the big ones that Gunn has been teasing all of this time. They better be pretty awesome considering how much build-up they've had.
Gunn is hard at work on the script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and production on the third movie will start next year. We don't have an exact release date for the movie, but rumors suggest a summer 2020 release. The Guardians will return in Avengers 4 next May.
