Jenny Slate Is In Talks To Join The Cast Of Venom
Venom is eyeing another cast member. The Spider-Man spin-off movie is supposed to start filming soon and there have been rumored cast members that include Riz Ahmed and Michelle Williams but all of them are "final talks" reports. It looks like we can add a third actress to that line of possibilities and that is comedian, actress, voice actress Jenny Slate according to Variety.
Sources say Jenny Slate will play a scientist in the film.
Sony has once again made no comment on the casting of Jenny Slate, making it anything but official. Sony is currently working on two Spider-Man spin-off movies , Venom and Silver and Black, and neither of them are connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Venom was supposed to start filming last month but there have been delays. The movie isn't due out until late 2018 so there is still time to get everything together. Some actual confirmations on these castings would be a good start.
Scott Rosenberg ("Jumanji") and Jeff Pinkner ("The Dark Tower") will write the script for "Venom," with Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach producing the movie, along with Amy Pascal. Palak Patel and Eric Fineman are overseeing the project for Columbia Pictures.
Venom, directed by Ruben Fleischer, will star Tom Hardy. There are other rumored, but not confirmed, cast members which include Riz Ahmed and Michelle Williams. It will be released on October 5th, 2018.
