Justin Kurzel In Talks To Direct Michael Fassbender In Assassin's Creed
Snowtown director Justin Kurzel is certainly someone who's been climbing the Hollywood ladder though not quite a superstar director yet. That may be about to change as Deadline reports he's in talks to direct the Assassin's Creed movie.
This has Michael Fassbender attached to star as Desmond Miles, the protagonist forced to relive his ancestors' bloody historical battles. Kurzel and Fassbender just finished shooting a new version of Macbeth together, so obviously Kurzel's star had a hand in getting him his new gig, which will certainly be his biggest yet.
Deadline's reporting also says New Regency and Ubisoft, the two companies behind this video game adaptation, are keen to move quickly not only on Assassin's Creed, but also on Splinter Cell, which has Tom Hardy starring and Doug Liman directing.
