Kevin Feige on That R-Rated 'Black Widow' Possibility…

As we said earlier today, Marvel Studios press junkets are always a gift of information. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but always informative anytime Kevin Feige is around. He's sort of a master with answering questions without giving anything away when it comes to the MCU, and we're thankful for it.

The topic this time round just happens to be that persistent rumor that the upcoming Black Widow solo film starring Scarlett Johansson will carry an R rating. All things considered, the rating didn't seem THAT far-fetched, but, Feige debunked it.

While speaking with ComicBook.com during this week's Captain Marvel junket, Kevin Feige responded to the question about Black Widow's R-raiting being non-factual with a very comital:

"Yes. Correct. It never was going to be. Somebody writes, 'I hear it's R-rated!' And then everybody writes it up."

We feel called out!

No but really, this is why we so often brand those types of stories as RUMOR, and/or make sure you, our readers, understand when something has yet-to-be-confirmed.

As far as the Black Widow film, last we heard there was a new writer brought on to polish up the existing script.

And, as far as filming goes- Production Weekly reported that the possibly-working-titled "Blue Bayou" film is set to gear up in June in the UK, with principal photography set to wrap in September.

We'll of course let you know what else we hear about the project.
