Live +3 Ratings Looks Good For Gotham And Agents Of SHIELD
Looking at the important Adults 18-49 range, the Live +3 ratings bumped the season premier of Gotham up 55% from its initial numbers. The show which debuted with a promising 3.2 ratings went up another 1.8 after the +3 data was added setting it as the high for season premieres at 5.0. The bump is the same as Marvel's Agents of SHIELD got its first episode last year.
Sleepy Hollow, a show that has done well with the +3 data in its first season did so again this week as it went from a 2.0 to 3.0 when the additional information was added.
Agents of SHIELD second season debut went from 2.1 to 3.2 when the +3 was added. This is still down from the initial airing a year before but good numbers for it's sophomore premier. This bump puts the SHIELD episode even with the debut of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS. Last season SHIELD struggled against ratings juggernaut NCIS, but pulling even out of the gate with the premiere of the new spin-off is a good sign for the Marvel series.
These numbers continue to prove that the overnight ratings of a television show may not be the best indication of how popular it is.
