New Trailer and 5 New Posters for Pixar's "Onward"

2020 is going to be a great year in animation from Disney and most of that is because we're getting not one but two original movies from Pixar. The studio that was Disney animation until Frozen came out always puts out great movies and even their subpar works tend to be better than what the other studios are putting out. However, the reliance on franchises and sequels means that we've gotten fewer Pixar movies based on original stories. The studio is at its best when it is doing original material and next year we are getting two. The first of the original movies we're getting from Pixar is Onward. The first couple of trailers have shown the bare bones of the story but the new one lets us see the various supporting players which include Ali Wong, Lena Waithe, and Mel Rodriguez.

We also got new posters for Onward from the official Pixar Twitter account.

Now that Star Wars comes out this weekend we should expect Disney to start promoting Onward and Mulan once 2020 hits.

Set in a suburban fantasy world, two teenage elf brothers embark on a quest to discover if there is still magic out there.

Onward, directed by Dan Scanlon, stars Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer. It will be released on March 6, 2020.
