Scalebound And Crackdown Will Be Absent At E3 For Microsoft
A couple of days ago, we heard that Quantum Break was going to be skipping E3 in favour of Gamescom this year, leaving the door open for more content at E3.
It seems Microsoft have a lot of games to show too, because Phil Spencer has stated that Platinum Games's Beats headphone dragon slayer game, Scalebound, and Crackdown will be skipping this year's show. Both titles were announced last year as an Xbox exclusive, but will be absent at the conference in LA for a spot in Germany at August's Gamescom.
Spencer explains that this decision was made because adding the games into the E3 press conference would be:
even more news than we could fit into a 90 minute briefing
This could just be posturing, but I believe him. You don't pull punches at E3. This gets me even more excited for what is to come than anything. Hopefully it means more new games. I think Xbox are up for a stellar Summer at E3 and GamesCom.
