Supergirl / Lena Relationship Gets Spotlight As Lena's Ex Is Introduced

When Supergirl returns, one of the things coming up is a big Lena Luthor / Supergirl story arc that will introduce Lena's ex played by iZombie's Rahul Kohli. The question has been should Supergirl trust Lena and for the most part the show has been telling us yes… until we saw more of her back story and just how smart she really is. EW.com asked star Melissa Benoist of Kara has any reason to distrust Lena:

Not at this point, no. I think they have a really special bond. The allure of the Luthor-Super relationship is so fascinating in the comics. I love where they're taking it now. She has no caution to being friends with Lena. She just sees a good heart right now.

And if the two ever had to face off, the actress says:

It would be devastating.

Supergirl returns April 24th to the CW.
