Supergirl's Sharon Leal Joins CBS Series 'Instinct' As Series Regular
At the end of Season 2 of Supergirl, M'gann M'orzz returned to help J'onn J'onzz against the Daximites, but how much we see of her next season is a question. Sharon Leal, the actress who plays the White Martian, has just signed on as a series regular for a new CBS midseason drama called Instinct. She will be taking over a role that was played by Khandi Alexander when the pilot was filmed.
Instinct is based on an upcoming James Patterson novel about Dr. Dylan Reinhart (Alan Cummings), an ex-CIA operative who is now living a quiet life as a professor and author. But he is pulled back into his old life by an NYPD detective named Lizzie Needham (Bojana Novakovic) to stop a serial killer. The character Leal will be playing was Lizzie's friend in the pilot but will be her boss going forward. The series also stars Naveen Andrews and Daniel Ings. Alex Kurtzman (Sleepy Hollow, Hawaii Five-O) is on board to produce.
Before Supergirl, Leal's credits include Grimm, Hellcats, Private Practice, Boston Public and Guiding Light.
Look's like J'onn will have to find a new lady love.
