Syfy Renews Killjoys For A Final Two Seasons To Finish Their Story
To go with the news that they were pulling the plug on Dark Matter, Syfy has said that fans of Killjoys don't have to worry. The other series wrapping up it's third season will still be around… for exactly two more seasons. The bounty-hunter drama's twenty-episode renewal will act as the final chapters for the show. So, season 4 and 5 and that's it.
Series creator Michelle Lovretta made a statement about the news:
This renewal is the kind of privilege every creator hopes for – a chance to plan the end of your story with the luxury of 20-episodes to do it. I'm immensely grateful [for] this incredible opportunity.
Killjoys, which stars Hannah John-Kamen, Aaron Ashmore and Luke MacFarlane, just concluded their third season which, according to Bill McGoldrick, the executive vice president of scripted development for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, "set the tone for the final chapter of our bounty hunter's space adventures."
Killjoys will return with Season 4 in 2018 with the fifth and final season expected in 2019.
Hannah John-Kamen is currently filming Ant-Man and the Wasp for Marvel where she plays Ghost and will also appear in Ready Player One and Tomb Raider… so, I think she will do just fine.
