Lois and Clark: The Nu Adventures Of Superman star Teri Hatcher will return to the Super-Universe during second half of Supergirl Season 2, according to a report from TVLine. Though producers aren't revealing any details about who Hatcher will play, they did blow a major plot point for the character, revealing that she'll "eventually become the season's big villain." That makes it sound like it won't be clear that's her role when she first appears, but now the cat is out of the bag, so any surprise element is ruined. You're welcome.

In addition, Supergirl executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had some strong words for Amy Adams, Margot Kidder, and Noel Neill, saying, "No offense to any of the wonderful actresses who have also played the part, but Teri Hatcher is my all time favorite Lois Lane. To have her come back to the SuperWorld in a completely different part is an unbelievable gift to me, [EP] Greg [Berlanti], and the fans." Hatcher joins fellow Lois and Clark star Dean Cain, who plays Jeremiah Danvers on the show.

Supergirl airs Mondays on The CW.
