The Nerd Dome Podcast Episode 90: History Of Comic Book Art
When I'm not making everyone in our comment sections here mad I'm on a podcast with a bunch of my close friends out here in Salt Lake City, Utah. Every week we get together and talk about the nerd news that has happened over the week, comics, and a topic for the latter half. We are a not safe for work podcast and all of our opinions are our own. We have a good time and we'd love for you to join us.
This week in a super long episode the panelists go into the history of comic book art throughout the years. We go through each of the various years to talk about what we liked about the art of those decades, why it looked the way it did, and we think of when we think about the golden, silver, bronze, and modern age of comics. The second half is long but we get into a lot of interesting detail and it's fun to hear what each of us think of when we think of the golden age of comics to today.
The first half we talk about this weeks including the trailer for Inhumans and why I think it looks like the Marvel universe version of high camp. The Jumanji: Into the Jungle trailer is also discussed along with the trailer for Netflix's adaptation of Death Note. We also get very distracted by a fake news story, that we thought was real at the time, that made some of us laugh so hard we started to cry. We apologize for the brief technical issues at the beginning of the recording.
We had a full house this week including special guest Branden K Ushio of The Fandom Podcast.
