A Complete Unknown is far from the worst thing you'll see this Christmas season, and many people will probably like it simply because of the various performances.

The Team Stands Together in a New "Jumanji: The Next Level" Picture
If there was a movie that took everyone by surprise it was Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle when it came out in 2017. No one was really expecting much from this sequel and the trailers were not exactly looking promising. The reviews were far from bad but no one was declaring it to be the best movie of the year. That didn't seem to matter as it kicked in the doors to the box office and made nearly a billion dollars by the time its run at the box office ended. No one was surprised when a sequel was not only greenlit but fast-tracked. Now we have Jumanji: The Next Level coming out this year and you can hear Sony Pictures pinning a lot of their holiday hopes on this movie is just as big as the last one. Fandango has posted their holiday preview and with it, we have a new picture from the movie.
However, if 2019 has taught us anything, it's that sequel to a movie that did extremely well is by no means a guarantee that the sequel will do well. Jumanji: The Next Level has some serious competition in December with Star Wars alone and plenty of movies that could be sleeper hits like 1917 or Little Women. Is there a place for this movie in a very crowded holiday season? We'll have to see.
A team of friends return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own but discover that nothing is as they expect. The players need to brave parts unknown, from arid deserts to snowy mountains, in order to escape the world's most dangerous game.
Jumanji: The Next Level, directed by Jake Kasdan, stars Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Danny DeVito, Darin Ferraro, and Sal Longobardo. It will be released on December 13th, 2019.
