Because U Demanded It: Great Outdoors Remake On The Way From Writer Of Scooby Doo Reboot And Kevin Hart

Fans clamoring for a reboot of John Hughes seventeenth best movie, 1988's The Great Outdoors, have finally gotten their wish! Universal has signed Kevin Hart to star in the upcoming film which originally starred Dan Aykroyd and John Candy, according to a report from Deadline. Michael De Luca is producing the remake, which is set to capture all the magic of the original. In a special treat for moviegoers, the man behind the upcoming Scooby Doo reboot, newcomer Randall Green, will write the script. Scooby Doo isn't expected out until 2018, but we're already sure it will be a cinematic classic, just like this will be.
