Will Gypsy Be A Friend Or Foe For Cisco Ramon?

We learned last month that Gypsy will be joining the cast of The Flash in this new year. It was originally hinted at by Carlos Valdez that she would be coming on in a way to help Cisco Ramon learn his powers. But executive producer Aaron Helbing told TVLine that she will be a very strong adversary for him as well as the fact he can't stop thinking about the "bad ass" Gypsy. Actress Jessica Camacho has been tapped to play the new character.

We've talked about the comic history between Gypsy and Vibe, how the two basically started out together in the Justice League Detroit era along with Vixen. The two also worked together in the recent Justice League: Vibe series written by Geoff Johns, so it comes as no surprise that the two will be sort of paired off on the show. But in just what way?

We know Cisco is in a bad place emotionally. He's still trying to deal with the loss of his brother and with the revelation that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) was in part responsible. He hasn't really had any luck with women. The only ones that seemed interested was the villainous Golden Glider (Peyton List) and the destined to be with another Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee). This could be his chance for a little happiness… so the writers make her an adversary.

And he won't have Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) to help him out too much as she will spend the rest of the season wrestling with her powers. Add that to Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) still getting up to speed and the whole save Iris (Candice Patton) in the future thing… Team Arrow will be very busy.
