Back in May, Zack Snyder stepped away from Justice League in the wake of a family tragedy: the death by suicide of his daughter, Autumn. But now, Snyder is back with his first project since taking a break.

Joss Whedon took on the task of finishing up Justice League so Snyder could step away, and Whedon has deftly adapted to the world of DC Comics, sparking lots of rumors about problems and reshoots and getting himself embroiled in a sexism scandal after his ex-wife penned a tell-all essay calling him a fake feminist.

Snyder, meanwhile, has been out of the spotlight, but on Twitter this weekend he announced his first project since taking a step back: a new short film called Snow Steam Iron. The movie was filmed in one weekend with no budget and using only friends and family.
