Banshee SDCC Panel – Looking Ahead To Season Three
Jayson Zachery writes for Bleeding Cool:
Banshee is at the forefront of Cinemax's attempt of getting foot hold in today's television pop culture market and joining the rest of the premium channel club with their laundry list of hit shows. I added Cinemax to my cable package based solely off of the initial trailer for season one of Banshee. And I am not sorry I did!
Banshee has a passionate fanbase, and it's growing!
The Banshee panelists at SDCC this year included: show creator/writer/executive producer Jonathon Tropper, alongside show stars Anthony Starr (Sheriff Hood), Ivana Miličević (Carrie Hopewell), Ulrich Thomsen (Kai Proctor), and Geno Segers (Chayton Littlestone). Unfortunately absent was cast member Hoon Lee (Job), a fan favorite.
Tropper teased the fans with the promise of Chayton Littlestone being a main antagonist for Season Three. And if you've seen Season Two, you know we're in for a ride! That doesn't mean that Sherrif Hood won't still have his hands full with Kai Proctor. Or that Kai Proctor still won't have his hands full with… Rebecca. Overall, we are promised a lot more of the same with Banshee, and that's a good thing!
While Banshee is full of action, violence, and sex, the cast at SDCC was full of charm, wit, and humor. With quite a few honorable mentions to the albino (just thinking about that man still gives me chills).
During the Q & A portion of the panel, fans and cast were in for a surprise treat when Demetrius Grosse, who plays Deputy Emmett Yawners, came up to the microphone as a fan in disguise.
One thing is clear going into Season Three, Banshee's fans are in love with this show!
