In a later panel, Dan DiDio confirmed the news, saying that they had decided to replace Stephanie Brown with Barbara Gordon in the Nightwing role, as Barbara was more iconic and
Smallville used icons But later it was revealed that this was also a lie, it was the demanded removal of Stephanie Brown that came first,[...]

Numerous reports are coming in from DC Comics The New Wave panel attendees on twitter that Dan Didio has just confirmed Bleeding Cool's report from Thursday: Barbara Gordon will replace Stephanie Brown in Smallville.
Here's what BC's Peter S Svensson told us then:
Bleeding Cool's Peter S Svensson reports from San Diego Comic Con "if what my[...]
And here's the Kickstarter page for Book Two.
WaffleWatch: The way to Dan DiDio's Stephanie Brown heart may not be via waffles… but via French Toast?
SeasonWatch: So… anyone want to be in Comic Book Men Season Two?

It's a book I've been working on for a while,[...]
I hope Dan DiDio has a lot of maple syrup in the DC Offices.
Fans of the DC character Stephanie Brown, whether as Spoiler, Robin or Batgirl, feel that they have been hard done by over the years Amateur crime fighter Spoiler, then Robin, then dead Robin, then revived Batgirl where she starred in her own[...]
We then followed it up with details such as the Zero issues raising issues that would affect the next issues of all the titles, with further confirmation, and creative details such as Scott Lobdell writing Superman, Scott Kolins drawing Legion Of Superheroes, Dan DiDio and Brent Anderson creating Phantom Stranger and more, over the last[...]
The new series will be written by Dan Didio, and drawn by Astro City's Brent Anderson and Scott Hanna.
So… will this also be a #0 in September, or will it take a few more months?
As ever, this is rumour, and until a project is announced details can change Even after a comic is announced sometimes…[...]
Trending Wednesday In Comics: The Fan Who Asked DC Comics About Gay Characters At Kapow Tells Us Why
We'll break this into comic-side and film-side tonite because it's been a busy week and I skipped last night getting everyone off to Phoenix Comic Con. If
Not yet, anyway.
This question on this Sunday at this Kapow, however, seemed to set off a lot of speculation and mass media attention, and still has people talking about it, from here on Bleeding Cool, to Fox, to the Daily Mail, the Guardian, New York Post, i09…nearly everywhere is making some comment on one small[...]
One of the odder moments at Kapow this weekend (and there were a number) was when Paul Cornell continued his commitment to panel gender parity (you can read about it here) and sat in the audience for the DC New 52 panel rather than sit on the all-male panel with Scott Snyder, Ian Churchill and[...]
One question asked at the DC panel today at the Kapow comic convention in London, was about DC co-publisher Dan DiDio's interview with The Advocate Specifically over the decision not to change any character's sexual orientation when relaunching the DC Universe At the time Dan stated they would introduce new LGBT characters rather than switch[...]
At Kapow in London this morning, DC co-publisher Dan DiDio clarified the company's publishing schedule, by numbers at least.
He confirmed that the company will stick to publishing fifty-two ongoing titles in the DC Universe but they will always be "new" and constantly refreshing.
So, basically, we can look forward to September and those zero issue folks…
Might[...]
Why not come by and say hi? I'm in the Captain Britain T-shirt…
Dan DiDio and Bob Wayne have just presented the Before Watchmen panel at Kapow, giving us a first look at the Josh Middleton cover for Silk Spectre as well as some very brief, blurry looks at some of the interior art…
Dan also told[...]
Alan Moore once described DC Comics' repeated attempts to publish his work after he walked away from the company as that of a "'a really weird, rich stalker girlfriend".
Which makes Dan DiDio's description of the project in The Guardian today as a rather apt one, saying;
I hope he looks at them with an open mind[...]
It's been a busy few days on the DC Comics front… Chris Roberson acts, DC reacts, and everyone — including Jim Lee and Dan Didio — talks about it Then there's New 52 wave 2 and Before Watchmen sneaks And the week is just getting started.

Bleeding Cool have run a number of concerned comments on the quality of DC Comics' thick hardbacks of late, and how a number of them can be unreadable.
Dan DiDio promised that the concern had been noted and that things would be fixed by the time of the New Teen Titans Omnibus So how did he[...]
The other day, I linked to the then-upcoming LA Times panel with Dan DiDio and Jim Lee, hosted by Geoff Boucher and jokingly asked if he'd mention Chris Roberson.
He did.
Geoff Boucher: Yesterday it was announced that Chris Roberson is no longer working on the 'Fairest' arc [To Lee] As a creator, how do you reconcile[...]
On Saturday, Bleeding Cool ran one explanation for the absence of Wally West in the new DCU, given in person by Dan DiDio But it may not be the only one.
Because, according to one Little Bleeder, there is another in continuity explanation for the missing character, just waiting to spill Specifically a way in which[...]
After some coffee, she calmed down, but the Wally West topic has been a sore spot for months now, so it isn't as if she let it go.
Then, we saw Dan Didio sort of meandering around at the DC Booth, so my wife and I approached, shook his hand and explained that we were with[...]

From Dan DiDio's own highlights of his first ten years as a DC exec: THE NEW 52 If you look at everything I've mentioned from one to nine, it feels like we were building to this moment All that we learned over the years, from every success and mistake came into play as we terraformed the[...]
Is it really only ten years since Dan DiDio, smuggled into DC by Warners as a co-writer on Superboy with Jimmy Palmiotii, was made a Vice President – Editorial, and began his rise to power within the company, making publishing changes along the way and ultimately seeing his vision for the company accepted, with the[...]
When reporting early rumours about Before Watchmen, almost every name I was given turned out to be true - Darwyn Cooke, Brian Azzarello, JMS, Amanda
At the weekend, Bleeding Cool ran a piece in which Kris Shaw demonstrated issues with recnt DC Omnibus volumes.
So someone asked Dan DiDio about it on Facebook And he replied.
The next Wolfman/Perez Titans omnibus is published in April Let's take a look then, shall we?

Liefeld does have a number of projects lined up though, I understand, including Deathstroke.
O.M.A.C was co-written by co-publisher Dan DiDio, and as I pointed out earlier, there would have been allegations of favouritism if this book had survived a cull, even though sales of the book had been relatively improving.
Men Of War was one of[...]
Including everyone from Marc Silvestri to Tim Sale to S'Express's Mark Moore and, well, Steve Cook… and one current co-Publisher of DC Comics, Dan DiDio Or Danny Didio as he is here.

But is there something we missed? As well as the skin change, he also lost his head hair and gained a little facial fungus.
Here's the original character.
Here is how he is portrayed by George Perez in Superman #1.
This is the co-publisher of DC Comics, Dan DiDio.
Let's try a little animation…

At the DC Meet The Publishers panel at New York Comic Con, Jim Lee and Dan DiDio were asked a question asking if they had any plans to recruit and develop new writers, as well as inviting familiar names back to the company.
Jim and Dan took the opportunity to announce DC Workshop, an internal program[...]
THE WORLD THAT'S COMING includes more O.M.A.C., according to both inker Scott Koblish and writer (and DC Co-Publisher) Dan DiDio That's good, because I've been intrigued by the cross-section of titles that the New 52 (and post-New 52 now, I guess) represents, and if DC and the comic market supports that range over time, that[...]
Are they getting everything databased and tagged yet? Internal wikis or the like? Or are they doing it the old fashion way with a few go-to editorial experts, and an office whiteboard thrown in here and there?
