Gilbert Shelton celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers in 1998 But then realised that actually he'd created them in 1967, not 1968, appearing in The Roy in Austin, Texas one year earlier than previously thought.
Which is why Knockabout is celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of this group of hippie, stoner dropouts this year.
