Dragon Con: 'Orville' Cosplay Crew Invades Star Trek 10 Forward Party

There is an ongoing joke that somehow, FOX series The Orville is an official part of the Star Trek universe. It makes sense really, kind of the same way that Galaxy Quest is often the answer to the question "What's your favorite Star Trek movie?"

In this case, a group of Orville crew cosplayers invading the Star Trek-themed party during 2018's Dragon Con makes PERFECT sense.

The 10 Forward party, based on Guinan's place on the Enterprise in Star Trek: The Next Generation, is an annual shindig open to badged-attendees of the annual Labor Day weekend con in Atlanta Georgia. If you've never been to Dragon Con, there is literally a track of panels and events for every possible fandom you can think of. The Star Trek track alone is impressive, and overseen by former Star Trek: Voyager alum Garrett Wang.

These are just some photos (thanks to Bill Watters) from the 10 Forward party, featuring some Disney Borg cosplayers, some classic Trek, and of course, The Orville:

The Orville will be back on FOX for a second season airing on December 30th 2018.
