Article Summary

  • Hit BBC sitcom Ghosts wraps at five seasons with a Christmas Special finale.
  • Ghosts: The Button House Archives, a tie-in book, is now available for fans.
  • Waterstones offers a TikTok challenge to win a signed copy by the show's stars.
  • Purchase the book or try your luck in the giveaway to delve into unseen ghost tales.

Ghosts, the hit BBC version from which the hit American CBS remake was made, has ended its run at five seasons. That's five six-episode seasons of ghostly comedy shenanigans in an old English manor, apart from the upcoming Christmas Special on the BBC that will be the True Ending. So many video game references, but this is the 21st Century. Anyway, Ghosts has spawned a nice, thick, glossy hardback tie-in book (in the UK anyway), Ghosts: The Button House Archives, now on sale from all UK bookstores (and an import to the US): "The comic companion to the BBC sitcom GHOSTS, perfect for all the family.

Everybody leaves a trace. The ghosts of Button House may have been dead a long time – some of them a very long time – but they have all left their mark on the world (even if, in Robin's case, that mark is just a handprint on the wall of a cave).

Gathered together in this volume is a treasure trove of unearthed cuttings, original records, and rare artifacts that explore the unseen lives of those who died at Button House: from Thomas's love letters to Pat's 'Summer Camp Rap', and from Julian's campaign promises to Lady Button's Rules of Etiquette. There are even documents dictated to the one person who can see and hear the ghosts: Alison Cooper.

Written by the show's creators – Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard, and Ben Willbond – this eclectic archive is a unique chance to discover more about the beloved ghosts of Button House. Thank be to Moonah! A book for all the family, it is as warm-spirited and deliriously daft as the series itself."

Now Waterstones, the big, glossy UK bookstore chain, is offering a giveaway of a signed copy of Ghosts: The Button House Archives via a TikTok challenge! That's a copy of the book signed by the ghosts themselves or rather their fleshy representations in the form of the actors and writers (really the same thing) via a TikTok challenge!
