'The Masked Singer' Week 5 Upped The Game "90210" Different Ways [SPOILER RECAP]
The recent fifth edition of FOX's The Masked Singer "Mix and Masks" started upping the game with a group performance. It is already easy to tell the natural performers apart from the rest, but this definitely verified who has the most staying power. Boy-bander Rabbit showed off his *in sync* moves. I have to admit, this was the first time since the premiere that I was surprised by the unmasking though my fellow Bleeding Cool Contributor Leigh Kade saw it coming. Props for calling it! Let's dive in and see what we gleaned from new clues and performances…

Post-show interview with Tori:
Tori didn't take the decision to be on The Masked Singer lightly: here's why she turned down the show 3 times:
"I was like, 'OK, why am I saying no? It's two of my biggest fears: performing and singing. I'm saying no immediately.' Yet I'm raising five children who I'm telling them, 'You can be anything you want to be. You can do anything!' And here I am already just shutting things down. So I'm just like, 'OK, I guess I have to do this!"
Tiffany: Leigh, I'm going to have you take the lead on this one. You had Tori pegged and I had no clue.
Leigh: It was that typewriter! I grew up watching The Love Boat, Charlie's Angels, and Hart to Hart. The second they showed that old typewriter, it all clicked into place! There was a lot of classic TV cheese that came out of that machine!
Tiffany: I'm 100% sure Alien is LaToya Jackson. The badge confirmed it.
Leigh: LaToya fits. She has the background to pull it off, but isn't as well known as Janet. I think you're right on the money there.
Tiffany: I'm still getting NKTOB vibes from Rabbit. I feel like Joey Fatone is a misdirect. The Brooklyn clue doesn't fit with Fatone, plus it doesn't sound like him. What do you think?
Leigh: I think I was drunk through the period of time that New Kids where a thing, so I'm completely out to lunch on that one. I want it to be Joey because he's the only Boy Band dude I know much about! Fatone is my answer to any Boy Band question at pub quizzes, too.
Tiffany: LOL! I'm still lost on Lion. Did any of the clues confirm your theories?
Leigh: I'm standing by Rumer Willis. She's done Broadway, has the Hollywood connection, and has a giant freaking lion tattoo on her arm! If it's not her, I will be seriously surprised!
Is it just me, or do you wish they would do some sort of obstacle course against each other? I would totally be down for Lion and Peacock competing on the American Ninja Warrior course, then having a song battle!
Tiffany: I smell a spin-off! All losers can duke it out on the course. Let the winner sing the pregame anthem.
I am so happy this wonderfully silly show was renewed for another season! Here's what we can look forward to seeing on next week's episode, "Touchy Feely Clues":
