Normally, news that Riverdale mainstays Skeet Ulrich (F.P. Jones) and Marisol Nichols (Hermione Lodge) are set to leave the series after this season would be more than enough to overshadow what's happening on-screen. Throw in a social media-posted image of Kiernan Shipka, KJ Apa, and Casey Cott fueling (at least our) speculation of a very real Riverdale/Chilling Adventures of Sabrina crossover, and that would pretty much seal the deal for the televised world.
But then, they don't have a "Dead Jughead"… do they?
Because that's what it looks like we've got heading into "Chapter Seventy-One: How to Get Away with Murder" – and when the dust settles, we'll be either staring down the barrell at some serious twists-n-turns… or (fingers crossed) the start of Afterlife with Archie:
"Riverdale" season 4, episode 4 "Chapter Seventy-One: How to Get Away with Murder": THE AFTERMATH — When a night in the woods goes horribly awry, Betty (Lili Reinhart), Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) are forced to confront what one of them may be capable of. Cole Sprouse, Marisol Nichols, Mädchen Amick, Mark Consuelos, Casey Cott and Skeet Ulrich also star. James DeWille directed the episode written by Arabella Anderson.
