As much as fans of the CW's Supergirl are eager to see how Kara can stop the growing war between the anti-alien U.S Government and its new rep Ben Lockwood/Agent Liberty, and the pro-alien forces of Manchester Black and the Elite. Seems like more than a handful for Supergirl, right? Which is usually the exact moment Superman arch-nemesis and self-proclaimed "defender of humanity" Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) picks to… make his presence known:
As you'll see in the following promo, our dear Lex looks a little under the weather – which is usually when a Luthor needs to be feared the most:
Supergirl s04e15 "O Brother, Where Art Thou?": JON CRYER GUEST STARS AS ICONIC DC COMICS' VILLAIN LEX LUTHOR –Secretly furloughed from prison due to failing health, Lex Luthor (guest star Jon Cryer) visits his sister, Lena (Katie McGrath), to seek her help finding a cure. Savvy as ever, Lena is suspicious of Lex's motives but when she's faced with a life and death situation, she must decide how she truly feels about her brother. Meanwhile, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and J'onn (David Harewood) face off against Manchester Black (guest star David Ajala). James' sister Kelly (guest star Azie Tesfai) comes to town. In season four, Supergirl is facing a bigger threat than she's ever faced before — a new wave of anti-alien sentiment is spreading across National City fomented by Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer). As Kara mentors a new reporter at CatCo, Nia Nal (Nicole Maines), and tries to use the power of the press to shine a light on the issues, which threaten to tear the city apart, Supergirl takes to the skies to battle the many villains who rise up in this era of divisiveness. But how does Supergirl battle a movement when she, herself an alien, represents one of the main things people are fearful of?
Distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, SUPERGIRL is executive produced by Greg Berlanti ("Arrow," "The Flash"), Jessica Queller ("Gilmore Girls," "Felicity"), Robert Rovner ("Crossing Jordan," "American Dreams"), and Sarah Schechter ("Blindspot," "The Mysteries of Laura"). Supergirl is based on the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and appearing in DC Comics, by special arrangement with the Jerry Siegel Family.
