Inhumans Panel: Special Lenses And Medusa Putting Maximus In His Place
All information courtesy of Bleeding Cool's Kaitlyn Booth:
An Inhumans panel was held for this year's Comic Con. It was off to a good start when Jeph Loeb walked out in a big red wig and asked why everyone was making such a big deal about it.
He went into information by revealing that the television reairing of the IMAX Inhumans debut will have new footage, which he described as a "variant cover."
He continued by giving the whole cast stuffed Lockjaws.
Apparently, they had to build a special lens for shooting because the IMAX lens wasn't wide enough for what they wanted.
An original character for the show was revealed by the name of Louise, who is played by actress Ellen Wogtom. She is just a normal human.
They revealed a clip for the SDCC panel audience. The aquatic Inhuman, Triton, has come to Earth due to the new wave of Inhumans appearing around the world. It begins with a young girl running through a jungle with yellow, cat-like eyes. She is being pursued by armed men. She is found by Triton who tells her she is an Inhuman and that she come to Attilan to be with others like herself. The two run together and are both hit, fall into water, and vanish.
The next clip comes to a family dinner seen, wherein Maximus criticizes Black Bolt for sending Triton "to his death." Here, we see that Black Bolt uses a fictional sign language to communicate with Medusa, who then speaks on his behalf. Blackagar wants to bring all Inhumans to the moon. Maximus believes it can't be done because they lack the resources. Maximus storms off in anger, and Karnak says, right or wrong, Maximus is dangerous. Gorgon believes Black Bolt should have sent him instead.
It's also revealed that Medusa does not always translate exactly what Black Bolt says.
From here, we see a fight between Karnak and Gorgon. In another scene, we find Gorgon on Earth being hunted by people working for Maximus, and he throws them off by using his earth-shaking stomp power. Karnak is attacked on Attilan, and he displays his powers of perception, the symbols of which are reminiscent of Doctor Strange's iconography. Medusa's hair is shown being used too, and the special effects look pretty good in motion. Maximus tries to get touchy with her, which she does not tolerate in the slightest.
An extended trailer for Inhumans will be shown at IMAX screenings of Dunkirk.
