What If…?, X-Men '97, Marvel Zombies: Marvel Animation Liveblog

It has been a full three years since we have seen Marvel Studios have a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, and the last time we saw them, the Disney+ shows were barely announced. We were just learning what they were and that they would be on the horizon. Now it is 2022, and the Marvel slate is big enough that Marvel can't say everything they want in one panel. For the first time, we have two major panels for Marvel Studios. Tomorrow, we have the traditional Hall H live-action panel that we have seen from the studio for nearly a decade, but today, we have an animation panel. Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe made the official jump to animation with What If…? on Disney+ last year to mixed results from fans and critics alike. Now it's time to see what other animation is going to be coming to the MCU this Friday morning Ballroom 20 panel.

As far as Marvel Studios' upcoming animation slate goes, it looks like some questions are about to be answered during its San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) panel today. Interested in seeing what series head writer Beau DeMayo has in store for X-Men '97? Or how the streamer will be approaching an animated take on Marvel Zombies? And let's not forget about that second season of What If…?, too… right? Well, on Friday, July 22 (11:45 am PT-1:15 pm PT), Marvel Studios head of streaming, television & animation Brad Winderbaum; head of visual development Ryan Meinerding; and a number of special guests (???) will be offering waves of updates that will include exclusive looks at all three previously-mentioned series… and more.
