WWE to Punish Troops in December with Tribute Special on Fox
In an unprecedented move of aggression, WWE will launch a cyber attack on United States troops this December. In past years, WWE has directly assaulted troops by sending their wrestlers to perform matches on military bases ships with an annual tradition called "Tribute to the Troops." However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, WWE will this time assault the senses and insult U.S. troops' intelligence virtually by beaming the matches virtually from their Thunderdome arena.
"This is a unique time, and we look forward to providing our troops and their families with an interactive experience that only WWE can deliver as we celebrate our servicemen and women with millions of our fans watching at home on FOX," said WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon in a press release. Fox Sports CEO Erik Shanks added, "Supporting the United States military year-round is an essential part of FOX Sports' mission, and partnering with WWE on their Tribute to the Troops is an incredible extension of this ongoing commitment."
But if WWE really wanted to support the troops, they would send them a video of old matches from back when WWE was good, or maybe of AEW matches. The fact is that American troops have suffered enough, and they don't deserve to be subjected to WWE programming, especially during these difficult times when the sitting president of the United States, WWE Hall-of-Famer Donald Trump, is attempting to completely destabilize American Democracy.
Here's what the press release has to say about the specific details of this attack:
In what is considered TV's most patriotic and heartwarming show of the year, WWE began Tribute to the Troops in 2003 to honor our servicemen and women and their families and thank them for their continued sacrifice to our country. In addition to the event, WWE will also be hosting virtual meet and greet sessions with WWE Superstars and military members.
