Youngblood Bloodsport By Mark Millar And Rob Liefeld In 2012 – Honest!!!

Back in 2004, we saw the publication of Youngblood Bloodsport #1 by Rob Liefeld and Mark Millar. Then… nothing.

During the promotion for the series, I asked Rob Liefeld since you left Image, hell, for a while before, your output has been sporadic at best and you've gained a reputation for not delivering what you've promised. Series remain unpublished, or cut down before completion. Lateness, even on your latest project — Youngblood: Bloodsport — has been the norm. How can reader and retailers trust you again to deliver on your word? Why should they pick up this first issue when your recent history at least indicates that they might never get the finished story?"

He replied "This is a great and valid point. I can't think of anything I could say that could convince anyone that the product will arrive on time. I just need to produce the work, and I intend to do just that. Hopefully the fans will enjoy the results."

There was no issue 2. It was written but never drawn – at least not completely. It was promised many a time, most recently in 2008, but to no joy.

Of course a lot has happened since then. And Rob has discovered quite a speed on Deadpool.

So now Rob Liefeld has now promised a fully complete Youngblood Bloodsport in hardcover for next year.

Will the seventy-third time be the charm? Here's hoping.
