French Comics Workers Go On Strike

French Comics Workers Go On StrikeBleeding Cool has previously reported on the closing of the distrubutor for French comics publisher L'Association as the company has reduced its line.

Now it seems as if the reduced workforce, down from seven to four, have decided to go on strike as a result of the redundancies and the lack of communication between the owners of the publisher and the staff. They employees will be occupying the publisher's premises in a peaceful protest. Even involving so few people, this the the first strike in the French comics industry in recent times.

The publisher recently celebrated its twentieth anniversary.

All this will make for an interesting Angouleme appearance…
