Flashpoint Vs Fear Itself Tomorrow
The Memorial Day/Bank Holiday long weekend means that comic stores will be getting their comics on Wednesday for Wednesday sale, rather than Tuesday for Wednesday. So don't expect to turn up first thing and get your week's comics this week, you may have to wait a little bit.
But what a week to wait for, for the comic book fan. Both Marvel and DC bring out the heavy guns
DC gives you Flashpoint #2, along with four spinoffs, Abin Sur The Green Lantern, Batman Knight Of Vengeance, Secret Seven and World Of Flashpoint.
While Marvel has Fear Itself #3, the issue upon which everything twists apparently, along with spinoffs Fear Itself: Deep (Defenders) #1, Invincible Iron Man #503, Herc #4 and Thunderbolts #158.
These books may well account for half the comic book retailer's sales tomorrow. But what might get lost in the scuffle?
Well, Dark Horse has Hellboy: The Fury – a new Hellboy arc launching. DC publish their Dwayne McDuffie tribute, the Static Shock Special. Image have a stack of new issue number one launches, as 50 Girls 50, Reed Gunther, Shinku and the final issue of Jonathan Ross and Tommy Lee Edwards' Turf. Marvel have new books in Criminal: Last Of Innocent and Shield. There's a new Boys from Dynamite, Irredeemable from Boom, and Ardden bring you Comeback Kings.
Ah screw, it we all know it's FearPoint ItselFlash tomorrow…
