Gangnam Style Avengers #1 Tops The Reorder Charts

This seems to be a growing trend.

For quite some time now, Bleeding Cool has run Advance Reorder charts, showing how retailers have been reordering comics yet to come out. It shows a ground level measure of changing demands, and gives ideas about which books might sell out fast, be hard to come by or need reprinting.

Every chart, second printings have been given disproportionate standings, as this is the only way many of them can be ordered. Also high price items seem to get counted for their value more than their sheer number of reorders. But things have changed, with new variants filling up the charts, often as a result of retailers increasing numbers on the standard comic in order to get them. Indeed, this week, the only normal comics getting a close-to-the-wire extra demand without any extenuating circumstances is Last Zombie: Before The After #3 from Antarctic Press. And there has just got to be a story there I am unaware of…

Meanwhile, on the order list for comics already shiped, Lost Girls does well as a new printing hits the market, and A-Babies Vs X-Babies is a sure fire smash for retailers. Expect a second print on that one shortly. A lack of Amazon availability may have helped Saga trade paperback orders too… and some strong appearances from Red Hood And The Outlaws #13, Marvel Now Point One and AVX: Consequences breaking through the usual Batman and Walking Dead.
