Studio 8 Snags Rights To Richard Kadrey's Sandman Slim

sandmanStudios 8 has picked up the rights to the urban fantasy series Sandman Slim from author Richard Kadrey. The series focuses on James 'Sandman Slim' Stark who escaped hell to come back and wreak vengeance on the magicians that killed his girlfriend and damned him. The series currently consists of eight novels with a ninth one due in 2017.

Kel Symons is attached to adapt the novels as a potential franchise.

Kadrey is a San Francisco based writer / photographer that has also delved into the comic world back in 2000 with the Image Comics series Accelerate with the Pander Brothers.
