Mass Effect: Andromeda Won't Have Cross-Play
While cross-play between consoles, PC and other devices certainly isn't universal, it is an option that is definitely becoming more common. The ability for players to take a game with them to another platform is proving to be incredibly valuable to those who like choice.
Sadly, don't expect to see it with Mass Effect: Andromeda. Speaking on Twitter, Bioware producer Fernando Melo revealed the game wouldn't support the feature. He said:
@tibermoon @Tinkham11 crossplay not in the current plans, sorry. and mp is peer to peer (same as me3)

Of course, no one would be expecting the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to play together, but it would have been nice for PC players to take their game, or play with players to a home console. Alas, it was not to be.
