Hideo Kojima Says The Nintendo Switch Is A Dream Console
While there is a ton of excitement around the Nintendo Switch, the console isn't hitting without a few caveats. From what some perceive an uninspiring release schedule for the first few months of its launch, to other little revelations about the console, there are some approaching the console with plenty of reservations.
Hideo Kojima is not one of those people. The Metal Gear Solid developer spoke to IGN, the developer showed genuine enthusiasm for the console, saying its what every gamer wants.
You might be familiar with the fact that for a previous game that I did [Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker], we had a specification that we called 'Transfarring' where you could take the saved data from the PS Vita and move it over to the PS3 and back and forth like that. I believe [Switch] is an extension of that idea. The fact you can play something at home and take it outside, this is the gamer's dream. The Switch is an evolution of that.
For me, I think the console has so much potential, but as of yet, I've not seen much past Zelda that is convincing me it is matching it. I really do hope it works out though. The industry is better with a healthy Nintendo.
