Marvel To Publish A $500, 5000-Page Infinity Gauntlet Slipcase Boxset Next Year
In what is likely to resemble the Secret Wars slipcase box set, the Civil War slipcase box set and the Star Wars slipcase box set from Marvel Comics, next year they are publishing an Infinity Gauntlet slipcase box set to tie in with the Avengers: Infinity War movie. It's a $500 set totalling 4960 pages, out on March 20th 2018.
There are no details as to what it will contain but the fact it is called Infinity Gauntlet instead of Infinity War suggests it will concentrate on the earlier part of those cosmic tales by Jim Starlin and George Pérez, rather than the later Infinity War/Infinity Watch and similar books. However, the page count might suggest it would take in the lot of them.
Just speculation there, mind. Here's a look at how the previous slipcases from Marvel looked.
The Infinity Gauntlet is a six-issue comic book limited series published by Marvel Comics from July to December in 1991. The series was written by Jim Starlin and penciled by George Pérez and Ron Lim. The following comics tied in and might be expected to be part of the box set.
