To Sue Former Aide Omarosa, Donald Trump Hires Hulk Hogan's Lawyer from Gawker Lawsuit

In the latest news that we swear we are not making up, Donald Trump's campaign has reportedly hired Charles Harder to represent them in a lawsuit against former Trump Aide and Apprentice star Omarosa. Harder is best known for representing Hulk Hogan in the lawsuit against Gawker, funded by PayPal billionaire Peter Thiel, which took down the website and struck a blow against freedom of the press.

Using the same lawyer isn't the only thing the President of the United States and the Immortal Hulkster have in common. Both are WWE Hall-of-Famers who have feuded with Vince McMahon. Both are well known for their bright orange skin tone. And while Trump is alleged to have said the n-word on tape, prompting the lawsuit against Omarosa in the first place, Hogan definitely did in the sex tape that was the center of the Gawker lawsuit.

"I don't know if Brooke was ****ing the black guy's son. I mean, I don't have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, ****ing ****ers. But then when it comes to nice people and ****, and whatever. […] I mean, I'd rather if she was going to **** some ****er, I'd rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall ****er worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player! I guess we're all a little racist. ****ing ****er," said Hogan while being secretly recorded having sex with the wife of Florida radio shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge. Later, Hogan apologized for the rant, calling it "the mistake I made, being at the wrong place at the wrong time or saying the wrong words."

Both Hogan and Trump have fallen somewhat out of favor with WWE in recent years. Hogan was fired from the company in 2014 following the release of the racist rant and suspended from the company's Hall of Fame before being reinstated earlier this year. Trump remains in the Hall of Fame, but the company has downplayed their involvement with him since multiple racist rants surfaced in tweets and televised interviews during the 2016 campaign as well as after Trump became president. In the latest of those, Trump called Omarosa a "dog" and a "lowlife" after she claimed to have heard a tape of Trump using the n-word from The Apprentice.

Though some have questioned Trump's ability to hire competent people for important roles, it's clear that he's hired the premier attorney for defending people who've said the n-word on secret tapes, so he must be doing something right.
