Warren Ellis's Only Convention Appearance in 2018 Will Be at Thought Bubble – But No, He Won't Sign That

I'm old enough to remember the internet pre-Warren Ellis. It seems such a strange concept now…

But if you want to see Warren Ellis in the flesh, then this year you really have one option: Thought Bubble in Leeds on the 22nd of September. Ellis will be interviewed on stage by Kieron Gillen and will then give a closing keynote of some kind on the 23rd.

But one thing he does guarantee: no signings. This is not the place to bring your complete Excalibur run. As he says, "I'm only showing up by special request of festival director Lisa Wood, who you know better as artist Tula Lotay."

So rival comic convention organisers, take note: if you want Warren Ellis to come to your show, draw his comic books. He'll be much more minded to make the trip…
