Joe Kubert's Grandson is Drawing a Brand New Graphic Novel
It's a bit of a family business it seems. Orion Zangara is the grandson of legendary comic book creator Joe Kubert. The nephew of Adam and Andy Kubert. And a graduate of the Joe Kubert School.
And he's a comic book artist. He's already drawn The Stone Man Mysteries graphic novel trilogy, but is now working on a graohic novel written by Mercedes Yardley that's being Kickstartered.
"Bryony Adams is the type of girl who got murdered."
Thus begins Pretty Little Dead Girls: A Novel of Murder and Whimsy written by Mercedes M. Yardley. Enter the world of Bryony Adams, the illustrious Star Girl, who is fated to be murdered. As she flees from the sentient desert that is calling out for her blood, she moves to Seattle where she meets a band of quirky characters who would do anything to save her and a likable serial killer bent on destroying her.
Pretty Little Dead Girls was released with great success initially as a novel, and now we (Mercedes M. Yardley and artist Orion Zangara) would love to bring it to you in a different medium: a graphic novel. Our one hundred page graphic novel adaptation of Pretty Little Dead Girls will be split into three volumes and eventually collected into one omnibus. The goal of this Kickstarter is to receive funding to launch the first volume.
Mercedes M. Yardley is the Bram Stoker Award and Stabby Award-winning author of Little Dead Red, Bone Angel, Apocalyptic Montessa and more. You can take alook at the comic below and if you want in, help fund it over here….
It's always nice to keep comic books in the family.
