Universal Pictures Delays "F9" By a Full Year Due to Coronavirus
The hits keep coming for the m0vie industry. After star Vin Diesel said that Bloodshot and F9 would release this year but life is coming at all of fast. No Time To Die was the first time to delay because of coronavirus but things are developing and they are developing fast. F9 is the next in a series of high profile movies that has decided to delay their release. In this case, according to the official Instagram for the series, Universal Pictures has decided to delay the movie by a full year to April of 2021.
"We feel all the love and the anticipation you have for the next chapter in our saga," he wrote. "That's why it's especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film. It's become clear that it won't be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May. … While we know there is disappointment in having to wait a little while longer, this move is made with the safety of everyone as our foremost consideration."
Now that more movies like F9 are actively being delayed we can only assume it's a matter of time for movies Mulan, Black Widow or even Wonder Woman 1984. The 2020 box office is going to take a massive hit and the repercussions of it are going to be felt for years. While shutting down and moving movies is the right thing to do that isn't going to stop people from losing jobs and studios from laying people off. It's going to be a very tough year for the entertainment industry.
