Lying In The Gutters – 25th January 2016 – Not Another Reboot, Honest
At the beginning of the week, I think Marvel Comics expected to own the comic book news agenda. The return of Steve Rogers as Captain America for his 75th anniversary as part of the Avengers Standoff event, which spins off into a new Thunderbolts comic.
And then on Friday, Bleeding Cool ran the news that DC Comics was to do another relaunch. And while no one at DC Comics was willing to comment to Bleeding Cool the day before the pieces ran, after we began publishing them, Dan DiDio and Jim Lee tweeted apparent confirmation.
Add to that, the confirmation of our story last year that Steven Moffat would step down from Doctor Who to be replaced by Chris Chibnall but that we would have no new Who until Christmas 2016, it was kinda one of *those* weeks.
