Darth Vader Returns with Hot Toys Empire Strikes Back Re-Release

In celebration of May the 4th, Hot Toys has announced a series of throwback figures. The first one to be revealed is a re-release of their iconic Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Darth Vader. This 1/6 scale figure is one of their most popular Hot Toys Vader figures as it includes a Bespin themed based and LED effects. The figure is packed with high quality detail from his suit controls to the interior of his helmet. The packaging is the biggest part of this release as it give s a throwback to the classic Kenner design. With a simple widow view, collectors will be able to keep him in the box is need be and still see him in all his dark side glory. Darth Vader will come with multiple interchangeable hands, two sabers blades (one standard and one in motion), and his helmet will be partly removable. This is a very sought after figure and he will finally be making his return this year.

The Empire Strikes Back Darth Vader re-release is a nice surprise for May the 4th. The retro style packaging is something that I would have never expected Hot Toys to do. This gives a nice legacy vibe to the figures that they are releasing. Prices, release dates, and pre-orders are not known or live just yet. You will be able to find them located here when they do go live which will most likely be later today. Like mentioned before, Darth Vader is a re-release and you can still find him in other markets right now. He is currently in the market of $400+ price range so if you have been wanting this figure, this is your chance.
