Avengers Vs X-Men Companion Gets A Special Box

The Avengers Vs X-Men Companion is a big fat 1112 hardcover that came out this week in comic stores. But the interesting thing is it came in this kind of weird custom cardboard AvX box and says "Limited Edition Print + Digital Combo" on the top.

This isn't like an Absolute slipcase… it's just a really, really fancy cardboard box.

The book wasn't solicited this way and the listings still don't mention it, or the poster or the digital. According to folks on the internet some mail order places are sending it with the box, others not.

I wonder which version people will get from Amazon when they ship theirs out later this month?

Does Marvel have a new policy to ship their big, fat Omnibus books in custom cardboard cases with digital codes and free posters now? That might make a lot of people rather happy.

Here's the box. And what's inside…
