Batman, Robin, & The Love That Dare Not Speak His Name in Teen Titans

This week sees the launch of World's Finest: Teen Titans #1 by Mark Waid and Emanuela Lupacchino. And an unkown early conflict...


This week sees the launch of World's Finest: Teen Titans #1 by Mark Waid and Emanuela Lupacchino, continuing the trend started by Marvel, of setting comic books in the recent past to use characters at certain stages of their lives that are unavailable to the main universe continuity now. And so, while the Titans have re-emerged in Nightwing as the world's premiere superhero team in the wake of the absence of the Justice League, so the takes of the original Teen Titans can play out in this new title. Which also means looking at the relationship between Dick Grayson, the original Robin, and the rest of the Teen Titans, given that Batman is his mentor, his guardian, and the recipient of all his fatherly love. Which means Grayson has rules he has to follow. Minor spoilers ahead…
