Bleeding Cool Bestseller List – 13th March 2016 – Spider Beats Bat And Turtle Combined
The start of a new Amazing Spider-Man story seems to have gone down very well, beating out the chart-defying Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Doctor Strange continues to outperform expectations, as Spider-Gwen returns to the charts. And an issue 50 pushes Action Comics back into the top ten as well.

Who had this to say,
DC and IDW share the number one spot in our store this week with Batman/TMNT–otherwise it's all Marvel, with the next DC placing twelfth. AfterShock's superb Insexts barely missed our top ten.
Looks like the combined might of Batman and TMNT was enough to launch this bad boy to the top spot. Every issue of this crossover does really well, and it's even got some new faces coming in looking for it. Interesting to see that Detective #50 also made our list. People sure are into those polybag variants…
Haunted Mansion has been moving pretty well for us. Seems like some people are hoping it'll become the next Figment.
Overrun's plan to release all four issues at once is an interesting move, and I'm surprised with how fast it's sold off our shelves.
Civil War, especially things with Spidey in them, are already gaining interest and the trailer's been out for barely 24 hours. And it's still all about Deadpool, Deadpool, Deadpool…
Two small release/low sales weeks in a row. Spider-Man took the top spot with no competition even close. DC managed to land 2 books, both Bats. Zero interest in DC's #50s and plenty of people dropping all of their DC pick ups to wait for Rebirth. People who were over the moon for the first issue of Batman/TMNT seem to have forgotten it exists, #4 didn't make our top ten. Descender was our best selling Image book but not quite enough for a spot on the list.
Thor, Doctor Strange and Ms Marvel continue to sell well. Ms Marvel tps selling all the time.
Pretty humdrum week all around.Average week for books with not one book hitting the century mark. Detective Comics took the top spot and everything else was around the same sales numbers. Will expect heavier sales with the poly bag editions in the next two weeks when Grayson and Batman hit the stands.
Strong sales of mid-90s Marvel and DC this week; readers miss the classic heroes.
Flash seemed to be the big back-issue mover with a couple of collectors taking big chunks out of the bins. Everything else that moved seemed to very target specific.
Better than the previous week. Was stunned that the Batman Dark Knight III collector's edition sold so well this week. Had to reorder the second collection for multiple people. I never seen that coming. Lots of the Marvel books are slipping. Spring break next week should make things interesting.

Deadpool tps. They've always sold pretty consistently but the movie has given sales a slight bump, though not for single issues. Walking Dead tps are going more than usual. Lot of people who played the waiting game on Secret Wars are picking up the trades now.
Marvel sales were off the hook since Tuesday night, all Civil War product was selling out even before the trailer was released. If a character in the movie isn't in front of your store, you're losing money.
