Thanks to the following retailers:

Who had this to say:

Batman takes the top spot (yet again) with Batman Who Laughs on our FFF weekly Top Ten Bestseller list. Snyder, Jock and Batman are almost guaranteed sellers on their own. Put all three together and throw in one of last year's biggest characters and you have an absolute sales smash. Amazing Spider-Man has been a consistent seller and was our #2 book this week. Donny Cates took two spots with Babyteeth at #4 and Venom at #6. The surprise of the week was Conan which was our 8th best seller. This is a book that very little buzz from our customers but is selling as well as Catwoman and Wolverine. We'll see if the buzz lasts when there are two more series with the character on the shelf.

Batman Who LOLs led sales this week, proving that people love it when Batman looks like a particularly edgy juggalo. Conan continues to coast along on a healthy start, surprising given the fact that sales on the previous Dark Horse run were middling to poor. Invaders and Black Widow enjoyed promising first issues, and hopefully they'll continue to succeed, with promising creative teams leading the charge. It would be remiss of me not to mention that Avatar: Tsu-Tey's Path sold only one issue, which isn't surprising considering the fact that it's based on a movie that came out in 2009 and people stopped caring about in 2010. Maybe they're trying to prime us for the rumored 2020 sequel, but it feels more like a decade-late death rattle to me.

Return of Wolverine seems to have run out of steam. It failed to make our top ten. Hawkman #8 I am baffled by. It is solidly in our top ten though months ago it sold in the single digits and I had to reorder it because we sold out on Wednesday. Meaning sales should have been even higher. Wish more titles would do that. Amazing Spider-Man still does well. Black Widow was a dud. Detective Comics was our top selling title. People are getting excited for the 1000th issue.

We had some shipping issues this week, so some books that would have certainly been in our Top 10 – such as AMAZING SPIDER-MAN – are unusually absent. Our top performer, unsurprisingly, is the second issue of the hit miniseries BATMAN WHO LAUGHS. Trailing behind it are standards like SUPERMAN and DETECTIVE COMICS (getting closer and closer to #1000!).

Other strong sellers this week include WONDER WOMAN and RETURN OF WOLVERINE. Also notable, a personal favorite, CATWOMAN, continues to sell well at its seventh issue.

Five DC, four Marvel, one Boom! title–a pretty typical week. Conan the Barbarian #2 held on to a top ten slot, showing that the success of the first issue wasn't a one-time anomaly. Fans are still loving Firefly three issues in, which is a good sign that Boom! has figured out what readers want from this series.

Notable sales:

  • Marvel Two-in-One #52 VF $55 Early Moon Knight appearance
  • Avengers Annual #10 VF $35 First appearance of Rogue
