Caitlin Kittredge To Write Grimm Comics For Dynamite
Dynamite Entertainment is kicking off a new comics series based on the NBC television series Grimm and they've gotten dark fantasy author Caitlin Kittredge to tell the story. The series is set during the show's fourth season and re-teams Kittredge with artist Maria Sanapo (Coffin Hill).
Set within the official continuity of Grimm's fourth season, the upcoming Grimm comic book series explores the lives of the show's fan-favorite females! What do Juliette, Adalind, Truble, and Rosalee have in common? They're the women in the life of Portland's own Grimm, Nick Burkhardt, and they're about to cross paths in a way they'd never expect! Set during a tumultuous time in the hit television show, Juliette's struggles to come to terms with becoming a Hexenbiest draw her into conflict with a new Wessen threat, and she finds she has nowhere to turn except her most hated enemy, Adalind… that's right, the woman who impersonated Juliette and slept with Nick!
Kittredge is the author of the Nocturne City series of adult novels, as well as The Iron Codex, a series of young-adult books. Her work in comics include a 20-issue run on Vertigo's Coffin Hill, as well as contributions to DC Comics' Sensational Comics Featuring Wonder Woman.
The series will launch with a few cover options. One done by Sanapo that will be offered regular, in black & white and without trade dress. The second cover is by Kyle Strahm and is made to look like a monster mask.
